Muswell Hill Golf Club

Muswell Hill Golf Club was founded on December 1st, 1893, after a meeting at the local Green Man Hotel which led to the establishment of the course with both male and female membership. The course originally had 12 holes, but it expanded to 18 holes in 1905.

During the First World War, the course was reduced to 9 holes due to land being requisitioned, but post-war the course eventually returned to 18 holes, and a new clubhouse was established in 1931. During the Second World War, the grounds were utilized for agriculture and ammunition storage, with the final addition to the course being the area including the 12th green and 13th tees.

Exhibition matches and Pro-Ams have been a notable part of the course's history, with famous golfers such as Harry Vardon, James Braid, and Ted Ray playing at Muswell Hill. The Professional Invitation Tournament in April 1960 saw participants like Jimmy Hitchcock and Neil Coles, with celebrity golfers such as Tony Jacklin and Peter Alliss also having played on these fairways.

The course presents a challenge to golfers of all abilities, and it is located in close proximity to Central London, accessible via public transportation. Its layout and facilities cater to both members and guests, providing a venue for events and golfing sessions.

Visitor tee times are available Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM and on weekends from 1:30 PM, subject to availability.

All green fees must be booked online prior to play and visitors are required to check in at the Pro Shop before play.
