North Hants Golf Club

North Hants Golf Club was inaugurated in 1904 with an opening by Princess Alexander of Teck and originally aimed to blend the ethos of a gentlemen's club with the setting of an American Country Club. The course has offered features such as lawn tennis courts and croquet lawns alongside the golf course.

The golf course's design has evolved since its initial creation by James Braid, with significant alterations by Harry Colt in 1913, improvements by Tom Simpson in 1930, and the addition of new holes by Donald Steel in 2001. A new clubhouse was introduced in 2003, and the course's centenary was celebrated in 2004 on the date of its historic opening.

Fairway watering systems were installed in 2011, enhancing the course, and a unique redesign of the par 5 3rd hole by Tom Mackenzie in 2018 included a split configuration, creating holes 3a and 3b, to accommodate infrastructure upgrades. This redesign was completed with the opening of the new hole in May 2019.

The club has a rich history in the sport, establishing the Hampshire Hog in 1957, an event that has become a notable part of the amateur golfing calendar. North Hants Golf Club is also associated with US Open Champion, Justin Rose, who is among the distinguished golfers to have been a member of the club.

North Hants Golf Club welcomes visiting golfers Monday to Friday and Weekend afternoons. From April 1st to October 12th 2025, visitor green fees are £150 on weekdays and £195 on weekends & Bank Holidays.

Twilight rates (after 4pm) are £100 (weekday) and £120 (weekend). County Card and James Braid holders pay £110. Junior rates are £70 weekday and £80 weekend.
