Oxford Golf Club

Oxford Golf Club has a history dating back to the 19th century, established with origins of golf being played on the Cowley Marsh site since 1873 and recognized as one of the oldest golf clubs in England. The course itself was initially influenced by the designs of James Braid and later underwent a redesign in 1922 by the renowned golf course architect Harry Colt, resulting in the 18 hole, 6,303 yard course that exists today.

The golf course is situated just two miles from the center of Oxford, occupying 143 acres of land which might suggest an urban setting, yet it offers a countryside-like tranquility. Its ecological features are notable, with a variety of trees such as oaks, poplars, willows, and hawthorns, and it hosts an array of wildlife including muntjac deer, rabbits, pheasants, and red kites, making it a notable destination for visitors and golf enthusiasts alike.

Green fees start from £25.00. Visitors can book tee times online up to 5 days in advance. Visiting junior golfers (17 years and under) pay £20.00 per person (Monday - Thursday) and £25.00 per person (Friday - Sunday).
