About: Pennard Golf Club

Pennard Golf Club is a members' golf club, in South Wales. The club was first formed in 1896.

Pennard Golf Course was established in 1896 when land was first leased for golf on Pennard Burrows by Thomas Penrice, marking the original foundation of the club. It was then reconstituted in 1908 after a different management structure was introduced by Lady Louisa Lyons, with the reconstitution event held at the Metropole Hotel led by Colonel Llewellyn Morgan.

Known as "The Links in the Sky," Pennard is a classic links course positioned 200 feet above sea level and features tight lies, running fairways, and firm fast greens due to its free-draining ground. The course offers views of Three Cliffs Bay and Oxwich Bay and presents a mixture of challenging par 3s, 4s, and a solitary par 5, with the back nine increasing in topographical severity and providing distinct challenges alongside scenic coastal views.

Visitor green fees are available. From April to October, weekday rates are £125 and weekend rates are £155. Saturday rate is £175. From November to March, weekday rates are £85 and weekend rates are £95. Saturday rate is £125.

For groups of 12 or more, please enquire about society rates.
