Queenwood Golf Club is a members' golf club, in Surrey. The club was first formed in 2001.
Queenwood Golf Club was established near Ottershaw in Surrey, England, and opened in 2001 under the development of American entrepreneur Frederick D. Green, with contributions from Walter Forbes. It was designed by David McLay Kidd who aimed to create a course reflecting the heathland traditions of nearby clubs, utilizing extensive heather for strategy and aesthetics.
The course is noted for its use of heather, particularly on bunker faces, which according to the designer, took five years to fully mature. Queenwood is a members-only facility with a diverse membership, including celebrities and professional golfers like Michael Douglas, Hugh Grant, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Darren Clarke, and Ernie Els.
