About: Ravensworth Golf Club

Ravensworth Golf Club is a members' golf club, in Durham. The club was first formed in 1906.

Ravensworth Golf Course was established in 1906 as a nine-hole course on land owned by Lord Ravensworth, with the club extending the course to eighteen holes in 1913 by renting additional land from the National Coal Board. The golf course was later purchased from the Coal Board in 1995, which allowed for further development, including a new clubhouse that opened its doors in 2003.

Located on the outskirts of Gateshead near the village of Eighton Banks, Ravensworth Golf Course features tight fairways and fast-running greens, presenting a challenge to golfers of all skill levels. Originally a nine-hole course, it was expanded to eighteen holes in 1913, and it is the seventh oldest club in Durham County and one of the founder members of the Durham County Golf Union.

Visitors are welcome 7 days a week subject to tee availability. Members guests, iGolfers and County Card holders are eligable for reduced rates. Online Tee Bookings are available.

All Green Fees must be paid prior to commencing play. All Players must check-in at the club shop or bar if shop is closed.
