Rookery Park Golf Club

Established in 1887, the Lowestoft Golf Club was originally located on the Denes in Lowestoft before the formation of the Lowestoft Golf Course Company Ltd in 1906, which led to the creation of a 9-hole course at Pakefield. In 1924, land was purchased to expand to a full 18-hole course designed by James Braid, but urban development and road improvements later necessitated relocation to the Rookery Estate where the course reopened in the summer of 1975.

Presently known as Rookery Park Golf Club, it is maintained by head green-keeper Neil Davey and his team, providing a parkland course that is challenging yet enjoyable for all levels of golfers. The design of the current course, set in Carlton Colville, Lowestoft, Suffolk, was developed by Mr. C D Lawrie, with the layout featuring a 6714-yard distance off competition tees, a par 72, and a mix of four par 5's and four par 3's, each hole offering a distinct challenge.

Summer green fees (April 1st to October 31st, 2025) are £70 on weekdays and £80 on weekends. Twilight rates (from 4pm) are £40. County Card holders receive discounts.

Winter green fees (February 1st, 2025 to April 1st, 2025) are £45 for peak times and £32 for off-peak times, with twilight rates at £23. Members' guests also pay a discounted rate.
