Royal Cinque Ports Golf Club is a members' golf club, in Kent. The club was first formed in 1892.
Royal Cinque Ports, or Deal to the members, is known for its traditional links style and undulating green sites. It hosted the British Open in 1909 and 1920, the latter won by JH Taylor and George Duncan respectively. The inward nine holes, particularly under conditions of opposing wind, are very challenging.
Renowned golfer Gary Player has praised the final four holes on this course, stating they rank as the best consecutive holes worldwide. Similarly, five-time Open Champion and golf architect James Braid has expressed that in his view, it is the best course in England.
The course is renowned for being in excellent condition year round, and was previously maintained by course manager James Bledge. co-host of the Golf Badgers podcast, who then moved on to Royal Liverpool ahead of the Open there in 2023
Visitor tee times are available from 11:00 AM on most days. Green fees are £195 during the week and £245 on weekends.
