Royal St David's Golf Club

Golf at Harlech began in 1894, initiated by the Honourable Harold Finch-Hatton and William Henry More. They quickly established an 18-hole course and instituted the St Davids Golf Club, with More as the Honorary Secretary.

The club hosted its first Open Meeting in November of 1894 and became a premier UK golf destination by the end of the nineteenth century. It started calling itself the Royal St Davids Golf Club in 1897, with its royal status formally confirmed in 1909.

The Championship Links of Royal St Davids Golf Club, established in 1894, has consistently been ranked within the top British golf courses. The course has hosted nearly eighty championships of national or international stature.

Royal St Davids Golf Club balances a committed local membership with numerous non-resident members, ensuring a lively golfing schedule punctuated by prestigious tournaments. Notable competitions held here include the Jacques Leglise Trophy, the British Girls Championship, and the British Senior Women's Amateur Championship.
