Royal Tara Golf Club

Royal Tara Golf Club was established in 1906 and celebrated its centenary in 2006, initially known as Navan Golf Club. It is located just two kilometers off the M3 motorway, seven kilometers south of Navan, near the historical Hill of Tara.

The golf course features a 27-hole layout, enveloped by mature beech, oak, and ash trees, with the addition of floral elements. It was first situated on the leased land of the Bellinter Estate, where it was known as Bellinter Park Golf Club in 1923, before the acquisition of freehold land led to an expansion and renaming to Royal Tara Golf Club.

Des Smyth and Declan Branigan redesigned the course, resulting in sand-based greens for playability throughout the year. The 1990s saw further development with the course expanding to 27 holes which led to increased membership.

Accompanying the expanded golf course, a new clubhouse was constructed in the late 1990s. This clubhouse is designed to cater to modern expectations, providing comprehensive facilities for members and visitors.
