Saffron Walden Golf Club is a members' golf club, in Cambridgeshire. The club was first formed in 1919.
Saffron Walden Golf Club was established as a nine-hole course in 1919 and expanded to eighteen holes in 1975. The golf course is set in the grounds of Audley End Park, which was landscaped by Capability Brown starting in 1763, and offers views over Audley End House, maintained by English Heritage.
This parkland golf course in East Anglia is known for its changes in elevation, undulation, and strategic tree placements that add challenge to the game. Notable features include the 193 ft spire of St Marys Parish church visible from the course, as well as Lady Portsmouths column designed by Robert Adam.
