Sherborne Golf Club is a members' golf club, in Dorset. The club was first formed in 1894.
Sherborne Golf Club was established in 1894 as a 9-hole course and underwent significant redesign by famed course designer James Braid in 1936, transforming into an 18-hole layout with distinctive features. The club experienced a temporary reversion to 9 holes during the war years but was restored to an 18-hole course in 1964, celebrated with an exhibition match featuring Peter Alliss, John Jacobs, Bernard Hunt, and Dai Rees.
The current 18-hole parkland course designed by James Braid measures just over 6,400 yards from the back tees and plays to a par 72. It features a mix of challenging holes and diverse teeing options to accommodate golfers of varying skill levels, positioned to provide views over the Blackmore Vale and Glastonbury Tor.
Green fees are priced at £45.00 for 18 holes, applicable both on weekdays and weekends during the spring/summer season (April 1st to October 31st, 2025).
County card holders can book for a discounted rate of £35.00 by calling the club directly.
