About: Sidmouth Golf Club

Sidmouth Golf Club is a members' golf club, in Devon. The club was first formed in 1889.

Sidmouth Golf Club's history, particularly from its inception until the end of the 1970s, was compiled with significant effort by Jim Voller and Frank Young due to a scarcity of club records. The golf course was designed by J H Taylor, a renowned golf course architect and five-time British Open winner, and inaugurated in 1889.

The course is known for its undulating fairways, offering views of the sea and the Devon and Dorset coastline along Lyme Bay, which is recognized as a World Heritage Site. It features 18 holes and is characterized by its location which provides a natural backdrop and presents specific challenges for golfers of all levels.

Summer rates are in effect from March 30 to October 25, 2025. Visitors can play 18 holes on weekdays and Saturdays for £37.50.
