Silloth on Solway Golf Club

Silloth on Solway Golf Club was founded by the North British Railway Company in 1892 to complement the development of the town of Silloth as a holiday resort and transport terminus. The original golf course was laid out by Davy Grant with inputs from Willie Fernie and Willie Park who were prominent Scottish professionals, and over time, the course was graced by visits from ten Open Champions, including noteworthy golfers such as Harry Vardon, J.H. Taylor, and James Braid.

The golf course has a significant history of producing talented golfers, notably the Leitch sisters, with Cecilia Leitch being a standout lady golfer who won numerous championships in the early 20th century. Successive generations have continued this legacy, with the club hosting major women's events such as the Ladies British Amateur Championship in 1976 and regularly holding national women's events including English Ladies Championships in 2000 and 2007.

Summer rates from 29th March 2025 to 24th October 2025 are £110.00 for weekdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Winter rates from 28th October 2024 to 28th March 2025 are £70.00 for weekdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Cumbria County Cards are available to use Monday - Friday from 12pm onwards and the green fee will be £55.00. Out of Cumbria County Cards only available to use after 12pm on Mondays only and the green fee will be £95.00.
