Silverdale Golf Club was established on 10th November 1906, with play commencing on 6th April 1907, and it celebrated its centenary in 2006. Throughout its history, the club has expanded from an initial 9-hole course to an 18-hole course, which was completed on 7th July 2002.
The golf course is set within the Arnside and Silverdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in Lancashire, known for its diverse plant life, including the rare Ladies Slipper Orchid. It presents a mix of parkland and limestone features, with Myers Dyke adding a distinctive challenge and the signature 13th hole, The Plateau, being recognized in Britain's 100 Extraordinary Golf Holes as No. 24.
Silverdale Golf Club is a par 70 course measuring 5,654 yards, with the front nine offering open parkland style and the back nine characterized by steep limestone outcrops and mature trees.
