Southwick Park Golf Club is a members' golf club, in Hampshire. The club was first formed in 1970.
The golf course at Southwick Park Golf Club originated as part of the broader history of Southwick, where the land used for the course had a rich historical context reaching back to Saxon times and through various significant periods such as the Middle Ages and the tenure of Augustinian monks. The site that evolved around Southwick Priory, and later Southwick House, came to include features that now characterize the golf course; particularly the lake around the 14th, 15th, and 16th holes, which was a result of the construction of the house and its gardens in the 19th century.
Southwick Park Golf Club was formally proposed in 1970 by the RN Golfing Society and eventually opened for business in 1977, following financial contributions from various naval sources and the support of the Hampshire County Council. Since its opening, the golf course has undergone numerous enhancements, including the expansion of club amenities such as the clubhouse, the creation of a professional shop, and a nine-hole pitch and putt course.
