Stoneham Golf Club

Stoneham Golf Club was established on May 4th, 1908, within an old deer park in the northern boundary of Southampton. The course was designed by the renowned architect Willie Park Junior, a two-time Open champion and prominent figure in the golfing world.

Notable for hosting the first Dunlop Masters Tournament, now known as the British Masters, in April 1946, Stoneham Golf Club has a rich history within the competitive golf scene. Dai Rees, captain of the 1959 Ryder Cup Team, opened the club's new clubhouse in April of the same year prior to leading the team at the match in California.
