Sunningdale Heath Golf Club is a members' golf club, in Surrey. The club was first formed in 1902.
Sunningdale Heath was established to provide women a venue to play golf independently from Sunningdale Golf Club, on land originally part of Windsor Forest. The club has royal association: HM Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother served as Club Captain in 1932 and was its Patron for 54 years.
On the Cookie Jar Golf Podcast (Ep. 106, Jan 2022), Tom Mills explained: "The land itself connects into the main Sunningdale complex – was previously known as Sunningdale Ladies. The old dormy house sits behind the seventh, the 16th green, the 17th tee – previously attached to Sunningdale Golf Club, and this year has been taken over by Kristen and Tom, who are putting a lot of investment into it." Christian Baker, co-owner and teaching professional who has worked at Wentworth, joined Ep. 219 (Aug 2023) to share his journey from his beginnings in golf to becoming co-owner of a golf club. The course is an 18-hole layout attributed to Harry Colt.
