Swanston Golf Club is a municipal golf club, in Lothians.
Swanston Golf Course, established in 1927, bears the unique distinction of being designed by Miss Margaret Carswell.
Her natural talent shaped the original nine holes, expanded to eighteen the following year, with later enhancements incorporating holes from the former Lothianburn course.
Visitor green fees for 2025 are structured by season. Summer rates (April to October) are £40 on weekdays and £50 on weekends. Winter rates (November to March) are reduced to £15 on weekdays and £20 on weekends.
Junior rates (under 18) are consistently £10 for both weekday and weekend rounds. Adult guest rates are £12 on weekdays and £15 on weekends.
