About: The Carrickmines Golf Club

The Carrickmines Golf Club is a members' golf club, in Dublin. The club was first formed in 1901.

Carrickmines Golf Club features a 9 hole/18 tee box layout that offers views over Dublin Bay, the Hill of Howth, Bray Head, and beyond. The course is notable for its visual backdrop, which includes the Leadmines Chimney to the south and the 2-Rock and 3-Rock Mountains to the southwest.

The course retains areas of the original heathland turf and is characterized by an abundance of hawthorn trees, bracken, and gorse, presenting a challenge to golfers of all skill levels. The original clubhouse, designed by Richard Orpen, was erected in 1901, with the current clubhouse designed by George McCaw after the original was destroyed by fire in 1972.
