The Epping Golf Course

The Epping Golf Course was established as a restoration of the original Epping Golf Club, which ceased operations during World War II. Presidents included figures such as Brig. Gen. Sir Richard Beale Colvin and the Rt. Hon. Sir Winston Churchill.

The course, covering 5434 yards with a par of 68, is a parkland layout with features such as undulations and water hazards. It offers views over the Essex countryside and is known for the quality of its greens.

Developed by brothers Neil and Peter Sjoberg, the course began with the opening of 9 holes in 1995. The remaining holes were added over time, including the installation of 17,000 trees and 10 new water features.

The facility includes a 150-yard covered range, chipping and bunker greens, and a 3-hole par 3 course apart from the 18-hole main course. It offers pay-and-play as well as membership options and maintains a variety of tee positions to accommodate different skill levels.

Green fees are valid from 1st May 2023 to 31st March 2024. Weekday AM green fees are £22, and weekend AM green fees are £30. Twilight rates are also available; £16 on weekdays and £20 on weekends.
