The Welcombe Golf Club is a members' golf club, in Warwickshire.
The history of the golf course at Welcombe Hotel is intertwined with the history of the hotel itself, which occupies a 19th-century former country mansion near Stratford upon Avon, Warwickshire. The mansion, originally known as Welcombe House, was constructed in a Neo-Jacobean style by architect Henry Clutton, commissioned by Mark Philips in about 1866 and completed in 1869.
The golf course is part of the hotel's later development, transformed into a spa and golf club by the Menzies Hotels Group in the 1990s. The course is set within an estate of 157 acres and offers a unique golfing experience in the historical setting of the Welcombe estate. After Menzies' bankruptcy in 2012, the hotel and golf course were sold to Topland Group and later acquired by Conquer Dawn in 2021, with Michels & Taylor taking over operations.
The Welcombe is set in 157 acres of rolling parkland and complements the luxurious and historical ambiance of the hotel, providing a scenic and challenging experience for golfers.
