About: Turton Golf Club

Turton Golf Club is a members' golf club, in Lancashire. The club was first formed in 1908.

Turton Golf Club was established in 1908 when a group of local residents, led by Reverend James Platt, initiated the project at a local church, and the course was officially opened on 28th November by the first President, Mr John Gass. The course, originally a 9-hole layout, underwent an expansion to 18 holes in the 1990s, culminating in the first full 18-hole competition on Presidents Day in 1994.

Notable features of Turton Golf Club include its combination of moorland and parkland across the Par 70 course that presents challenges to golfers at all levels. In addition to the golfing facilities, the club also offers a clubhouse with catering services, practice areas, and a pro shop featuring a state-of-the-art swing studio.
