Tyrrells Wood Golf Club is a members' golf club, in Surrey. The club was first formed in 1924.
Tyrrells Wood Golf Course was established in 1924, originally designed by James Braid, a five-times Open Champion and a prominent golf course designer of the early 20th century. Improvements to the course were also made by another respected designer, Harry Colt, and efforts have been made over the years to preserve Braid's distinctive approach to green and bunker design.
Located on the edge of the North Downs in Surrey, Tyrrells Wood features a chalk subsoil that ensures excellent drainage, with a landscape characterized by a unique blend of downland and parkland due to extensive tree planting in the late 19th century. The course presents a challenging yet rewarding experience, known for quick and undulating greens, and is distinguished by its two starting points and the strategic play it demands from golfers.
Visitor green fees are available. Standard visitor rates are £125 on weekdays and £150 on weekends. Booking tee times in advance is recommended to secure availability.
