Wath Golf Club

Wath Golf Club was established in 1904 when a small group of local businessmen rented fields to create a 9-hole course following a golf competition they held in a local field on the outskirts of Wath. By 1905, the club had grown in popularity within the local community, prompting its formal naming during the first Annual General Meeting.

The course underwent significant expansion over the years, with the club relocating in 1945 to its current location on Abdy Lane in Wath Upon Dearne. From 9 holes originally, the course expanded to 14, and eventually to a full 18-hole course by 1988, complemented later by the addition of a 22-acre practice facility.

Set in the countryside of South Yorkshire, the par 70, 6,096-yard parkland golf course at Wath Golf Club is known for its narrow fairways and small greens. Designed to challenge golfers of all levels, the course is characterized by a relatively flat terrain.
