West Byfleet Golf Club is a members' golf club, in Surrey. The club was first formed in 1922.
West Byfleet Golf Course was originally laid out in 1906; the club was established in 1922 when local residents purchased the land from Hugh Locke King. Originally named Bleakdown, it was designed by Cuthbert Butchart with a major redesign in 1922 by John Abercromby. Arthur Croome, James Braid and John Morrison, plus recent work by Mackenzie & Ebert, have all contributed.
On the Cookie Jar Golf Podcast (Ep. 207, Jul 2023), Richard Pannell said: "West Byfleet – I think it's fabulous. I think it sets up perfect for what we're looking to achieve." At 6,531 yards (par 70) and 5,647 yards (par 72) respectively off the men's and women's tees, West Byfleet offers a well-balanced Surrey heathland experience.
