West Surrey Golf Club

The West Surrey Golf Club was established in 1910 as a commercial venture by John Eastwood, a prominent local landowner and businessman. The course, designed initially by J.H. Taylor and laid out by W.H. Fowler, stretches on the farmland of the Eastwoods Enton Hall estate.

Notably, the clubhouse, an essential part of the course's infrastructure, was designed by Albert Messer using traditional building materials from the Estate's barns, providing it with notable character. By 1921 the golf course's popularity became evident through its 400 members, underlining the club's growth and significance in the golfing world.

Significant events in the course's history include the requisition of the clubhouse as a billet for Canadian troops during World War II, and the post-war restoration that saw the course fully reinstated by 1949. A Tennis Section was added to the club's facilities in 1959, expanding its recreational offerings.

In the early 2000s, a major investment led to significant enhancements of the course which included the installation of fairway watering and construction of new USGA standard greens, increasing the course's length to just under 6500 yards. These improvements aimed to ensure high-quality playing conditions throughout the year.

Summer rates are valid from April 1st to October 31st. Twilight rates (after 3pm) are £70.00 on weekdays and weekends.
