About: Westmanstown Golf Club

Westmanstown Golf Club is a members' golf club, in Dublin. The club was first formed in 1988.

The Westmanstown Golf Course was originally developed as a 9-hole course in 1988 on a 54-acre land parcel. Following the acquisition of an additional 47 acres of land in 1991, the course was expanded to an 18-hole track, adhering to USGA Standards, and now spans 6,443 yards.

Designed by Eddie Hackett, the parkland style golf course features several water hazards located on the 6th, 10th, 11th, 16th, 17th, and 18th holes. Major upgrades including tee boxes, bunkers, and water features have been implemented over time, with the latest enhancement completed on the 17th green and surrounds in 2019.

An extensive drainage system was installed between 2002 and 2004, enabling year-round play. The course has been under the care of esteemed superintendents, namely Gerry Byrne in the early years and subsequently Michael McFeely who contributed significantly to the course's quality and reputation.
