Whitley Bay Golf Club

Whitley Bay Golf Course was established in 1890 and is located a few hundred yards from the Northumberland Coastline in the North East of England. The course encompasses both parkland and heathland characteristics and is known for its undulating terrain, fast greens, and well-maintained conditions suitable for golfers of varying skill levels.

The golf course has been graced by notable golfers such as Harry Vardon, James Braid, Seve Ballesteros, Nick Faldo, Lee Trevino, and Greg Norman, and features a design by 1912 Open Champion Ted Ray. Whitley Bay Golf Course has received the GEO Certified excellence award, signifying high standards in sustainability and environmental stewardship within golf course management.

Summer green fees are £55 on weekdays and £60 on weekends (Sunday pm only). Twilight golf is available; please contact the professional for times and pricing (£25). Winter green fees (with fairway protection mats in use) are £30 on weekdays and £40 on weekends (Sunday pm only).

When arriving at the Club, visitors must register with the Professional in the Golf Shop to obtain their green fee ticket before play.
