Wilmslow Golf Club

The Wilmslow Golf Club's course was established in 1889 and is recognized as a championship course in Cheshire, and has been a venue for England Golf Championships. Its 18-hole, par 72 layout spans 6,639 yards from the blue tees, and provides a challenge for golfers of all skill levels.

Notable for hosting prominent golf events, Wilmslow has seen six past Ryder Cup Captains compete. It has been a former venue for the Greater Manchester Open and the Martini International, the latter of which Nick Faldo won in 1983. Furthermore, the course has been used for regional qualifying for The Open, County Championships, and Inter-County matches.

The course's design includes a figure-of-eight layout featuring the Mobberley Brook, which comes into play on the opening hole and several par threes. In addition to this natural water hazard, the course maintains high-quality greens and fairways that remain in excellent condition year-round.

Wilmslow Golf Club continues to be a significant venue in regional and national golfing circuits, having hosted the England Golf Seniors Tour and the England Golf Captains in 2017 and 2021. The English Women's Amateur Championship in 2018 and the English Girls Amateur Championship in 2022 are among the notable competitions held here.

Summer rates (March 1st to October 31st) are £130 Monday to Thursday, £150 Friday, Sunday & Bank Holidays. Winter rates (November 1st to February 28th) are £75 Monday to Thursday, £85 Friday, Sunday & Bank Holidays. Junior rates are also available.

Society rates are £75 per player but only available for a minimum of 12 players and only on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
