About: Woolton Golf Club

Woolton Golf Club is a members' golf club, in Lancashire. The club was first formed in 1900.

Woolton Golf Course was established in 1900, after Lewis Samuel Cohen purchased Doe Park and the surrounding land with the intent of creating a golf course. The course was initially opened with nine holes, but an urgent purchase of additional land in 1906 enabled the expansion of the course to the standard eighteen holes.

Following its establishment, the Woolton Golf Course became known for its inclusive ethos, which was evident by the diversity of its club captains by 1914, spanning various faiths and backgrounds. Throughout the years, the course has played host to significant events, such as the annual competitions held by Liverpool Golf Captains, solidifying its importance in the regional golf community.

Standard green fees apply to small groups and individual players. Summer rates (1st April - 31st October 2025) are £40 on weekdays and £45 on weekends and bank holidays.

Member guest rates are also available. Please contact the Pro Shop on 0151 486 1298 for bookings. Cheaper rates are only available later in the day and in 4balls.
