Worsley Golf Club

Worsley Golf Club was established in 1894, with a meeting on 20th March 1894 leading to its inauguration. The golf course was situated at Broadoak Park on the Earl of Ellesmere's estate, and the Earl was later made the President of the club.

George Lowe was commissioned to design the original course, and work commenced immediately, with the first match played on 28th April 1894. The initial facilities included a rented room at Monton Green and a pavilion erected in 1895, which was replaced by a new clubhouse in 1897 and further extended in 1923.

The golf course at Worsley Golf Club underwent a redesign in the 1930s by James Braid and is located six miles west of Manchester. It features rolling fairways, an assortment of mature trees, and greens that are maintained to high standards.

The clubhouse provides a range of food and wine and overlooks the 1st tee and 18th green. The course offers a challenge with a variety of hazards, including bunkers and mature oak trees that add complexity to the game.
