Wyke Green Golf Club

Wyke Green Golf Course was established in 1926 when construction began led by W.H. Tate, an Osterley resident. The creation of the initial fourteen holes was completed in former hay fields, and by 1928 the course was open for play, with the original clubhouse also opening that year.

The golf course was designed by F.G. Hawtree and J.H. Taylor, renowned golf course architects responsible for the design of other famous courses such as Royal Birkdale, Royal Porthcawl, and Ganton. Play commenced in August 1928, and by 1930, an additional four holes were added, completing the 18-hole configuration for the inaugural match in May of that year.

During the war years, parts of the course were repurposed for agriculture, but in 1951 the course was restored to its full 18-hole glory. However, in the mid-1960s, the course underwent significant changes to accommodate the construction of the M4 motorway, which led to the loss of parts of the 11th and 12th holes.

The Wyke Green Golf Course eventually became a private members' club and transitioned into a Limited Company in 1996 after the members purchased the freehold of the course from The Earl of Jersey. The company is owned by its members, cementing the course's legacy within the golfing community as a distinguished example of a classic parkland golf course.

Green fees are structured with peak (before 1pm), off-peak (after 1pm) and twilight (after 4pm) rates. County Card rates are offered.

Weekend visitors are only permitted after Midday.
