Adare Manor is a parkland, 18 hole golf course in Limerick. The course first opened on this site in 1992.
Adare Manor Golf Course was established on the estate of the 4th Earl of Dunraven in Adare in the late 1890s, with Scottish professional Ben Sayers designing the original 9-hole course which was completed in 1900. The course became affiliated with the Golfing Union of Ireland in 1932, laying the groundwork for the contemporary club.
In 1992, the current 18-hole course designed by Eddie Hackett was inaugurated, and in 2000, the club celebrated its centenary, during which a bog oak sculpture was installed near the 18th green, accompanied by a time capsule set for retrieval in 2050.
The Adare Manor Golf Course hosted the Irish PGA Championship in October 2014, where Niall Kearney secured a one-shot victory. Despite being less than 6,000 yards in length, the course presented a significant challenge, reflected in only six professionals finishing under par over the tournament's duration.
The club won the "Best Hidden Gem in Ireland" award in 2013. In 2014, Christy O'Connor Jnr. and his wife Anne were also granted honorary memberships in recognition of their involvement in a Classic event held at the club.
