About: Hunstanton

Hunstanton is a links, 18 hole golf course in Norfolk. The course first opened on this site in 1891.

Hunstanton Golf Club was founded in 1891, establishing a golf course that has gone on to host over forty national events since its inception. Among the competitions held there are twelve British & English Ladies Amateur Championships, five Brabazon Trophies, and three English Amateur Championships.

Hunstanton features a notable par three 16th hole, where in 1974, Bob Taylor achieved a hole-in-one on three consecutive days. This event is highlighted in the club's history as an exceptional achievement.

The course, a championship links course, is situated on the North West Norfolk coast.

Noteworthy events at Hunstanton Golf Course have included the Boy's Amateur Championship, held twice, and the Carris Trophy, which was hosted there for the first time in 2016. A complete list of all the national events hosted by the club since 1914 can be found on the Honours Board.
