Brian Huggett

Brian Huggett (1936–2024) was a Welsh professional golfer and golf course architect. He won 16 events between 1962 and 1978, the Harry Vardon Trophy in 1968, and finished second in The Open in 1965. Huggett played six Ryder Cups (1963–75), making a crucial putt against Billy Casper in 1969's tied match, and was non-playing captain in 1977. He designed multiple courses including Orchardleigh Golf & Country Club in Somerset. He was appointed ambassador for the 2010 Ryder Cup at Celtic Manor.
