William Swan

William Swan is a golf course architect and director of Swan Golf Designs with his brother Howard Swan. The firm was founded through collaboration between Sir Henry Cotton and Alex Swan and has over 60 years of experience. Its philosophy is based on "a love of golf and appreciation of the natural landscape." William has overseen projects at Aspley Guise & Woburn Sands, St Ives, Cowdray, Rookery Park, Rowlands Castle, Belvoir Park, and Royal Bled in Slovenia. He helped launch the company's website in 2010–11. The firm also operates FIRSTGOLF, a worldwide initiative to grow the game.
