Ampfield Golf Club

Ampfield Golf Club was incorporated on May 1st, 1963, to develop a Par-Three golf course at Home Farm, Ampfield, after successfully purchasing the property. The company commenced trading on August 23rd, 1964, following a successful appeal regarding initial planning permission which was originally denied due to access issues.

The Ampfield Golf Course was designed by Sir Henry Thomas Cotton, MBE, and constructed by Hamilton Stutt, opening for play in 1964. The course features undulating greens, strategically placed sand traps, and trees which serve as additional hazards, and it was constructed from what was then Home Farm’s meadow land.

Ampfield is one of England's finest 18-hole Par 3 courses and is also among the longest at 2314 yards, with its longest hole stretching 181 yards. This course is consistently maintained in excellent condition, and over the past few years, under new ownership, it has undergone significant improvements.

Every year in August, the course hosts the Annual Hampshire PGA Short Course Championship. This event engages Professional golfers from Hampshire, The Isle of Wight, and The Channel Islands, who vie for the short course title.

Visitor green fees vary depending on the season and time of day. Summer rates (June 1st - September 30th) are higher than winter rates (October 1st - April 1st).

Twilight rates (4pm onwards) offer discounted play. County Card holders are eligible for a 20% discount, please notify the clubhouse prior to arrival.
